Ohio Women Inc. was formed 40 years ago to bring women together to foster cooperation and collaboration to improve the lives of women and girls in Ohio. Through the years we have sponsored many programs and projects such as gatherings of the leadership of statewide women’s groups. This leadership council has not met for several years but we would like to reinstate the program. Isn’t it time that we come together to revitalize the networks we once had!
On Saturday, September 23, 2017 (Victoria Woodhull’s birthday) OWI will sponsor a meeting of the leaders or representation of some of the women’s organizations in Ohio, and you are invited. The goals for this gathering are to re-energize Ohio women’s organizations, share knowledge, and find ways to work together on issues of mutual concern. We will be confirming the time and place of the meeting soon. If you have questions please feel free to contact me, Linda Hengst, by email email@example.com
Join us for a special screening of the ACLU’s Transgender Spotlight video mini-series! We spoke to a dozen transgender and gender non-conforming Ohioans to learn about the issues that matter to them the most and asked them to share their stories with us. Two of our Ohio TransAction Committee members, Liam Gallagher, trans outreach and volunteer coordinator for Stonewall Columbus, and Lana Moore, former captain with the Columbus Fire Department, will lead a discussion regarding the most pressing issues facing the transgender community today. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP here. Location: ACLU of Ohio, 1108 City Park Ave., STE 203, Columbus, OH 43206.
