Ohio’s Local Public Health Accreditation Readiness Project

June 19, 2017 – June 23, 2017 all-day

Ohio’s Local Public Health Accreditation Readiness Project

Lots of great things have been happening with the accreditation readiness project!
  • A new project website has been created. This website is intended to be a go-to for updated information regarding this project and provides access to accreditation-related resources. Check it out!
  • Guidance for requesting training and technical assistance (TA) through this project has been released. Training and TA request will unfold in five rounds in 2017-2018. Round 1 applications are now being accepted; Deadline to apply is January 31st. Check out the technical assistance page of the website for more information and to apply.
  • Fourteen LHDs participated in the Performance Management Systems for Public Health Agencies workshop held in December. In addition to the workshop, five individuals were trained in a supplemental two-day training to serve as Peer Coaches. This strengthens Ohio’s capacity to provide ongoing training and technical assistance to LHDs on performance management.
  • Save the Date! The 2017 Performance Management Systems for Public Health Agencies workshops dates have been set. The workshops will be facilitated by the newly trained Peer Coaches. Registration is not yet available. Check the project-related training opportunities page of the website frequently for updates.
    • April 26-27:  Southwest/West Central Ohio
    • June 19-23 (exact to days TBD): Columbus, Ohio
    • August 9-10: Southeast/East Central Ohio
  • Thank you to the 110 LHDs that completed the profile and accreditation readiness assessment. Reports are being generated and will be sent via email to each participating agency’s health commissioner by January 31st.
