Feed the Hungry Project

Organizer of MLK Gala 2018: An All-Black Attire Affair

A local soup kitchen and resource development center that provides food and resources in order to promote self-sufficiency. Feed the Hungry Project was founded by the Late Mrs. Louella Thompson in 1987. She began this ministry in her home/ beauty salon. Ten years later when the ministry outgrew her residence, she decided to design a building later called “The Dream Center.” Now, the organization has housed various programs throughout the 29 years it has been in existence (i.e., FREE Summer Day Camp, hot breakfast program, Zumba, Christmas Toy Giveaway, and Thanksgiving Day Dinner). Today, the Feed the Hungry Project continues to live out Mrs. Thompson’s dream by changing the lives of the people in the Middletown 2nd Ward neighborhoods. They also reach out to other low-income families in Butler County.
